Ansoo lake name comes from its tear-like shape. The "Ansoo" is an Urdu word, means tear. It also resembles a human eye with a central ice island resembling the iris and a ridge resembling an eyebrow more prominent during the summer. Ansoo lake is a famous site for its beauty and resemblance with the shape of a human eye. 

Ansoo Lake Location

Ansoo Lake is in the Kaghan Valley, which lies in the khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. It is an elevation of 13,927 km above sea level. Malika Parbat, the highest mountain of Kaghan Valley, is also situated here.The scene from the lake is lovely and romantic. When one comes here, these memories will always stay with him. The soul-refreshing scenery of the lake stimulates the beauty of nature.

Ansoo Lake: How to reach there

The lake has two routes to reach. When visitors go to visit the northern areas in Pakistan, they always like to visit Saif ul Malook, the nearest point from the Ansoo lake. Ansoo Lake is an about 12 hours of trekking from Saif ul Malook, but the beauty and the scenery between two beautiful natural sites are un-parallel. In the winter, the trek is about fully covered with snow which makes the passage unaccessible.

Ansoo Lake:Best time to Visit 

The most suitable season to trek is in summer from ten to 15 August. The ideal time to leave for the lake from Saiful Mulook is around 06:00 toward the beginning of the day. Horses can likewise be gained from the Lake Saiful Mulook alongside a guide who will take you to Ansoo Lake. It costs nearly PKR 1200-1500 for each pony and PKR 1000 extra for the hiring a local guide; however, regardless one needs to walk over 35% of the separation without anyone else's information. This trek can be additionally partitioned into two sections. The first half, which is towards Saiful Malook, is valley along the stream and it goes up to Malika Parbat base camp. The second half is more intense beginning from Malika Parbat base camp and finishes with Ansoo Lake. This part is bound in with taking on the mountain.
